About Leeds Holistic Training & Therapy Centre
- We offer Therapies and Wellbeing, as well as providing courses (accredited and non-accredited) for those wishing to develop their skills whether this be for their career or their own personal development. Having worked with VTCT, Guilds, FHT we are here to ensure you get the best training to succeed in your choice of studies.- Our staff are all qualified in their field of expertise, as well as being qualified teachers and assessors. They have numerous years of experience in people skills, management and teaching. The Centre is fully insured and approved by the Awarding Body to offer a qualification route of study. Advisers are constantly on hand to offer advice in respect of the running of the Centre and to ensure a Centre of excellence is maintained.

We offer a wide range of courses from accredited (where an individual may use their qualification to go into the working world of therapies) or general short courses where an individual may simply want to advance their own already gained qualification or advance their own personal development.
All courses are available as accredited by Holistic Guilds and hold a valid recognised certificate for industry and insurance purposes. Accreditation is organised through GTI where a registration cost must be paid direct to them. The remaining balance is to be paid to LHTTC.
All course theory done online using interactive modules and exams. Practical will be carried out at LHTTC. Unless arrangements made to come to your venue (minimum 6 people).
Anatomy and Physiology Run alongside course taken or as separate course (see GTI web) Discuss at outset as it may be incorporated with your study option.
Please note course dates will be agreed at outset depending on numbers, some weekends and evenings available if full days are not suitable.

REIKI
Using the transfer of natural energy via the practitioner to client. This enhances the body’s natural ability to heal itself through the balancing energy. (Client remains clothed – wear loose comfy clothing)
CHAKRA BALANCING
This holistic treatment is used to rebalance the chakras, enabling a deep cleansing process of mind, spirit and body.
REFLEXOLOGY
Working on points of the feet to address ailments, remove blockages, for relaxation. A session of this can help you feel uplifted or totally relaxed (client removes shoes and socks) This therapy is advised as a plan of 5 to 6 treatments as you can see the difference over the weeks as your body rids of toxins and addresses body issues through the feet!
INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE
Using a mix of moves to work on back, neck head, face and shoulder to ease tension, help relax, help with sinus problems, tinnitus, stress, headaches, ear problems (see also auricular therapy for ear problems) By massaging points on upper back, head and shoulders the therapist works on pressure points to release tension, help remove headaches and eyestrain, unblock sinuses, improve circulation and stimulate lymphatic drainage. (Client remains clothed, but unfastens any top buttons or tight clothing enabling therapist to work on neck and shoulders)
HOPI EAR CANDLES (AURICULAR THERAPY)
Come and enjoy having your ears cleaned! Using special wax candles to assist in helping extract any impurities. Whilst aiding problems such as headaches, migraines, tinnitus and sinusitis. This therapy is combined with an enjoyable face and neck massage.
AQUA DETOX
Aqua detox works by relaxing your feet in a ‘footbath’ whilst the machine detoxes your body. This has got to be seen to be believed as the ‘dirt’ after the bath is unreal! More importantly is the feeling afterwards of wellbeing and total cleansed throughout. Used to assist physical ailments, skin conditions and diet.
BOWEN
Bowen is a remedial therapy working on muscles, tendons and ligaments. As we mature, past injuries which have long healed, can cause us stress with aches and pains, even arthritis can set in. This therapy helps to identify and correct both present and past injuries e.g. twisted ankle, broken leg etc. as well as hay fever, sinus problems, back and leg problems, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow and just about anything else ranging from head to foot problems and help rectify them.
HYPNOSIS
Using an altered state of consciousness and heightened responsiveness to suggestion; it can be induced in people by a range of methods and has been used in medical and psychiatric treatment. Most often hypnosis is brought about through the actions of the therapist, who engages the attention of a subject and suggests certain tasks to him or her while using monotonous, repetitive verbal commands; such tasks may include muscle relaxation, eye fixation and sometimes arm levitation.
AROMATHERAPY MASSAGE
Using and preparing essential oils tailor made for each individual, to address anything from irritable bowel syndrome, to headaches, to back aches to a whole range of ailments or simply to enjoy a pamper session
HOT STONE MASSAGE
Using special volcanic stones this treatment can help in the treatment of the following problems; muscular aches, pains, and strains, rheumatic and arthritic conditions, Multiple Sclerosis, Fibromyalgia, back pain, and insomnia. It also helps to improve circulation and can help reduce stress, anxiety, tension and depression. The placing of the stones can be followed by a massage which can be deeper and more intense as heat penetrates the body and relaxes the muscles
THAI MASSGAE
Using a mix to pressure work, yoga stretches, zones of body, this therapy can help to relieve many physical problems such as back pain, tense shoulders and neck, stiffness, poor posture, indigestion and sciatica as well as more mental problems like stress and lethargy. The basic form of the massage is performed fully clothed (no oils are used) on a mat on the floor. The technique involves putting gentle but firm pressure on the body with the palms and thumbs, as well as relaxing stretching of the limbs and back. In this way it works effectively on skin, muscle, the organs and the skeletal structure. Blood and lymph circulation is increased and waste substances are removed from tissues

HIJAMA
Hijama can be performed almost anywhere on the body, often at the site of an ache or pain in order to ease or alleviate it. The location is first shaved, if necessary, to ensure a tight seal with the cup. The mouth of the cup is placed on the skin at the site chosen for hijama. A tight seal is then created. The cup is left to cling to the skin for a few minutes, then it is lifted off and several very small incisions are made in the skin. The cup is then put back as it was before until the flow of blood subsides. Hijama is considered a form of energy medicine because it has been claimed to "unclog" blocked meridians in the body, and is viewed by some practitioners as a cure for black magic and possession, according to hadith, adhering to certain rules such as hijama being done on odd numbered days, during the last half of the lunar calendar, during the warmer months of the year, and never on Wednesdays and Saturdays, will make the therapy more effective. This therapy is a must for those suffering from a range of illnesses and is highly effective. Note*** you will have marks on the area for some days after, but these do subside and will leave no marks.
