About Janice Figgest
I have been a complementary therapist for almost 20 years and am now practicing complementary therapies in West Malling, Kent and teaching the Eunice Ingham Method of Reflexology for the International Institute of Reflexology also in Kent. The Eunice Ingham Method is the original reflexology method that was developed by Eunice Ingham in the early 19th Century.I mainly practice reflexology and offer both hand and foot reflexology, pre-conception and pregnancy reflexology and menopause reflexology. I have helped countless people with many problems such as eczema, migraine, hormonal imbalance, stress and tension, irregular sleep pattern and exhaustion. Reflexology can help a wide range of health problems and balances the body to encourage it to heal.
Reiki and Aromatherapy are also very popular and I have many clients who come for help with relaxation and stress related conditions. Both are very gentle treatments and clients often comment that they feel totally relaxed and calm.
I love what I do and it was a natural progression for me to teach reflexology, which was the first complementary therapy course that I took. I was amazed at the power of reflexology and it was discovering that that encouraged me to gain my diploma in aromatherapy at The Shirley Price School of Aromatherapy in Hinckley, Leicester.
I often add essential oils to the balms and powders that I use when I am giving a reflexology treatment, it helps the client to relax into the treatment and by telling them the properties of the oils it gives them some information on self-help techniques that they can use at home. I like to give my clients tips that they can take away and use between treatments and I find this is the best way to help them onto the path of natural healing.
