About Reflexology and Chinese Foot Massage in Somerset
I am a fully trained and insured Reflexologist and Chinese Foot Masseuse, and a full member of the Association of Reflexologists. I have been practising for 23 years. I trained and practised as a shiatsu practitioner, but have in recent years decided to focus totally on Reflexology.I work from the Ninesprings Natural Health Centre in Yeovil.
Reflexology is a safe, natural and non-invasive complementary therapy. It is based on the principle that a reflexology point in the foot relates to each organ and function of the body, and the practitioner works on the feet, lower legs, and sometimes the hands. The theory is that reflexology helps the body to restore its balance naturally. There may be a feeling of relaxation, wellbeing and improved mood, and other improvements which can be dependant on each individual.
Reflexology does not claim to cure or diagnose, but may be one of the ways to reduce stress in an increasingly stressful modern world.
Chinese Foot Massage is similar to Reflexology and incorporates more
massage, firm or gentle depending on the individual need.
