The homeopathy I practice (classical) is similar to a talking therapy that results in myself prescribing a remedy to help you overcome the issues you currently face. Homeopaths see dis-ease symptoms to be inter related to the mental and emotional state, therefore the job of finding the right remedy involves in-depth discussion on many aspects of your life.
Homeopathy is individualised so ten people suffering with exactly the same condition would usually all get a different remedy according the way their condition effects them. Focusing on the totality of the symptoms (i.e how the symptoms make you feel, what they remind you of and how you deal with them in your everyday life) rather than the particular named diagnosis, means that a wide variety of conditions may be helped, even if your specialist cant find ’anything wrong’. After discussing your condition with you thoroughly, I will look for a homeopathic remedy to fit your particular complaints and character. This remedy is aimed at stimulating the body to heal itself.
Follow up appointments are made roughly four to six weeks apart and involve discussing the changes that have occurred since the remedy and what needs to be addressed next. However sometimes, depending on the problem, I will see people sooner than this.
My interested in homeopathy began as a young mother living abroad while looking for natural ways to treat my growing family. Impressed with homeopathy’s positive effect on my toddler, I sought out a professional homeopath for a chronic skin condition that I had suffered with for years. Many aspects of my heath improved and thus began a lifelong passion in homeopathy. Firstly, I began to self teach, and had great success on my family, friends - and pets! I then took up a distant learning course in 1999 and eventually went on to train professionally in 2006. I now practice part time in Llandeilo and hold down a ’day job’ also.

My training, work experience and any achievement

I graduated and gained my license to practice from the Welsh School of Homeopathy in 2010 and am registered and insured with the Society of Homeopaths, accredited by the Professional Standards Authority. I can be found listed on their website at http://www.homeopathy-soh.org/
I have over 4 years of experience working as the homeopath at Amman Valley Women’s Aid until 2015 and also have experience working with people with mental health issues at Llanelli Mind. I have experience working with people going through chemo and radio therapy at the Old Mill Cancer Foundation, Llandebie who are looking for emotional support and help with the side effects of their medication.
I keep up with the latest developments in the field by taking part in CPD events across the country, usually organised by the Welsh School of Homeopathy or the Society of Homeopaths.

My fees
I charge £45 for the first consultation (1 1/2 hours) and £36 for the follow ups (1 hour). Children cost £36 and £27.
The fee covers the cost of the remedy, postage a packing and telephone advice between consultations.
I offer free advice by phone for acute (recent) complaints.
