I am in integrative counsellor drawing upon some key approaches which include:
Person Centred Approach
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Transtheoretical Model
Attachment

Psychodynamic
Cognitive Analytical Therapy
I have over 8 years of counselling practice experience working in mainly secondary care services and the third sector. I have volunteered for 8 years with Cruse Bereavement Care which was a service supporting those who have experienced a loss. I have worked within domestic abuse counselling service providers, BME counselling providers and more generic counselling services as well. I currently work within a school one day a week in Birmingham offering counselling to parents. I also run group for women with secondary cancer once a month. The rest of my work is within my private practice which has been varied in terms of issues presented and duration of counselling.
In terms of my supervision background. I have worked as a supervisor at Cruse Bereavement Care and only offered individual supervision at this time. I have attended a 6 day supervisors course which gave me a foundation to the way I worked in supervision. I currently supervise volunteer counsellors within a local child bereavement charity. I also offer individual and group supervision with a local hospice to counsellors and family support workers.
My approach within supervision is integrative and looks at the level of experience and development of the counsellor. I work openly and flexibly with the counsellor to ensure the most is made of the supervision time. To further reinforce my understanding I am currently studying a diploma in supervision.
I have offered crystal therapy, Reiki, Indian head massage throughout the years in different ways. I offer individual treatments. I have done workshops and tasters on crystal therapy. I have attended events and offered treatments/tasters as well.
