About Laura Seward
Based in Rutland, I offer Psychotherapy/ Counselling and Play Therapy to both Adults and Young People throughout Leicestershire and the surrounding areas. I initiated therapeutic practice with Cruse Bereavement Care, and have worked sucessfully both counselling and supervising for The Carers Centre, The Create Centre; and generically in a number of settings across Leicestershire, including Schools and Colleges.
I trained in Humanistic Therapy with focus on the Person Centred Approach. Essentially this means that any person seeking counselling is met with warmth and acceptance regardless of their thoughts/ feelings / experiences. You will not be judged or dictated to, but rather the aim is to reach a relationship based on mutual trust and respect. In this confidential relationship, you will be able to explore difficulties and deeper issues, and in this, gaining a better understanding/ awareness of yourself, and your relationships. Gaining trust in yourself, accepting your own feelings (instead of fighting against them)- gaining confidence and control of your life.

I work from the Rutland Therapy and Massage Centre based in Oakham. It may be possible to see clients in their own home where appropriate, though I will try to access a mutual setting near to the clients home where possible.

Fees range between £40 and £70 per session depending on the individual case and circumstances, travel, admin etc.
A reduced fee is available in certain circumstances.
