My private practice is constantly developing as I keep up to date with the latest developments in neuroscience and its application in psychotherapy. With twenty years of clinical therapeutic experience the treatment that I can provide for you is supported by extensive nhs clinical and theoretical knowledge and research experience. I sometimes incorporate arts psychotherapy approaches in which I am qualified, though the emphasis is on psychological, holistic, transpersonal and healing aspects of treatment, which can help a whole range of common problems that are encountered by professionals and performers in all branches of business, science and the arts.

My training, work experience and any achievement
I am an accredited Cognitive Analytic Therapist, qualified to offer you brief or longer term counseling over a wide range of complex psychological or life-crisis problems. You can feel reassured that if we work together, your treatment will be individually tailored to your needs and objectives.
I am interested in keeping up to date with the latest developments in psychotherapy treatment, this year having attended a series of seminars on neuro -science in psychotherapy.
I aim to ensure the highest ethical standards of good clinical practice through maintaining continuous professional development and registration with the UKCP, the British Association of Counselors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and the Health Professions Council (HPC)
My clinical practice is firmly rooted in a sound theoretical framework, with in-depth understanding and knowledge having gained the MSc in Mental Health Studies from King’s College London Guy’s Hospital Campus in 2003.
I have a wealth of therapeutic experience having worked for twenty years in the NHS as a Head of Arts Therapies, Clinical Research Lead and HPC Registered Music Therapist, gaining the MPhil-PhD upgrade at the Institute of Psychiatry (Kings College London) in 2010. I am currently completing the write–up of clinically based research.
I have helped numerous young artists to achieve their potential, since I am approved by The British Association of Performing Arts Medicine (BAPAM) for the specialist treatment of Performance Anxieties and work- related stresses.
Initially trained as a professional musician at the Royal Academy of Music and subsequently working professionally as an orchestral musician, teacher and soloist, I trained for over seven years in CAT and in mental health studies at the medical school of Guys and St Thomas’s Hospitals in London (Kings College London) and before that in Music Therapy at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
