I’m a BACP Accredited Registered Integrative Counsellor with many years experience and the owner of Looking-Glass Counselling in Llandudno, providing Private Counselling for individuals and couples. I meet with clients in a large, attractive room at my home on the Great Orme, which is dedicated to my counselling practice. It’s the perfect situation to be able to provide a safe, private, relaxed and comfortable space for us to work together to understand what’s really bothering you and what you can do about it.
You might feel a little anxious about talking to a counsellor, you might believe that you ought to be able to deal with your difficulties by yourself. But you know that turning a worry over and over in your mind, rather than solving anything, is just causing that worry to grow. And holding things in is causing more and more pressure to build up. You really can turn your life around and have the life you want and deserve!
I am a warm, loving and down-to-earth person and during your first FREE session, you will soon find that you feel relaxed and that it is a relief to talk about things. Together, we’ll get a clear idea of what you want the counselling to achieve for you and we’ll agree on the best way for you to take things forward.
I’ll use my knowledge, experience and expertise to truly understand you and what you really want, and to help you apply the right kind of strategies to achieve your goals.

People come to see me when they want someone to talk to and when they want to feel better. I provide a general counselling and psychotherapy service for adults and young people (13+), offering individual, couples, family and group counselling, as well as telephone and online counselling, using Skype or Instant Messenger. Most clients come to see me at my home on the Great Orme, where I have the perfect situation to be able to provide a safe, private, relaxed and comfortable space, a large, attractive room dedicated to my counselling practice. I am very grateful for and reassured by the fact that many of my clients come to me via recommendation and word of mouth. Here are some examples of the feedback I’ve received from my clients:
"I am definitely happier and have a clearer understanding of why I was unhappy. It’s amazing really, how much better you actually feel voicing everything out loud and talking things through, acknowledging how you feel. So thanks very much for your support and kindness." M.
"After feeling confused and angry a lot of times, I felt the need to seek counselling before I self-destructed. Within a few relaxed sessions, I began to feel a lot calmer and more at peace with myself. I am now back on track with my life and can’t thank you enough for your expertise. Many thanks again." J.
"Thank you very much for today. I feel so much better already and can’t wait to come next week. The tapping thing you taught me is brilliant. Thank you. I’ve just done it now and it feels so much better. Thanks again." A.
"It’s so weird that the situation I was so stressed out about at work just doesn’t bother me any more. I’m enjoying my job again for the first time in ages. I’m using the mindfulness techniques you taught me and find them really helpful. I’ve actually signed up to do a mindfulness course! Thanks for everything." S.
"Thank you for everything you’ve done for me. I feel much better and I’m finally getting on with everything I’ve been putting off and it feels great. It was coming to see you that helped the most." K.
"I can’t thank you enough, Victoria. I’ll never forget you." J.
My training, work experience and any achievement
I came into counselling from a teaching background and, after qualifying in 2010, I worked in a counselling role for the top FE college in Lincolnshire and as a volunteer at the Northamptonshire Youth Advisory Service, offering counselling to young people, aged 14-25. As a result of my experience, I do have some expertise in working with young people!
I also spent two years as a volunteer counsellor for Mind, the mental health charity, before relocating to Llandudno in 2013, where I am now established in my private counselling and psychotherapy practice.
I have a first class degree in Philosophy and an Advanced Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling with further training in CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), TA (Transactional Analysis) and Mindfulness. I am also a Certified and Accredited EFT Practitioner (Emotional Freedom Techniques), a qualified hypnotherapist and am educated in Nutritional Sciences. Further Information
I have spent over three years studying nutrition and the psychology of eating and offer specialist Weight Loss Coaching, incorporating the latest weight loss science, Strategic Intervention Coaching techniques, Mindfulness and EFT (Tapping) to help you uncover and eliminate the mental and emotional reasons why you struggle to lose those unwanted pounds.

I have also had a great deal of success with clients seeking Pain Relief using Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), often described as "acupuncture without the needles". If you are suffering with acute or chronic pain, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. EFT is a powerful pain relief tool that’s easy to learn and to self-apply.
EFT is also a proven effective treatment for relief from PTS. Follow this link to find out more about how EFT is helping returning American veterans to find profound relief from PTS and regain their lives and http://stressproject.org/video/
EFT is also an effective therapy for overcoming Phobias, for example, fear of flying, fear of needles, etc.
