About Monika Mizzi Counselling and Supervision

I am an experienced accredited humanistic counsellor/psychotherapist with many years of experience. Over the years I have worked with clients from many walks of life. This has encouraged me to incorporate areas of other modalities so as to cater for the ddifferent needs in us.

I work with individuals, couples and sometimes with groups. I work with all age groups over the age of 10, offering a personal, confidential and non judgemental service with the hope to offer therapy to suit you. I see my role as working with you to explore, examine and evaluate what is on your mind and by so doing open up new ways of thinking,evaluating and moving on. I am committed to offering a safe, non judgmental, and confidential service in a quiet and calm surrounding.

Over the years I have worked with clients on a variety of issues like:
abortion, abuse, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, self esteem, stress, anger, learning difficulties, disabilities, loss and bereavement... just to name some.

As well as offering private sessions I also work as a self employed counsellor in several schools and 6th form colleges as well as at a local hospice.

I also offer supervision as a qualified supervisor.

My counselling practice is located in Dorking town centre RH4 3HB.There are several car parks close by It is within easy reach of the M25, A24 and A25. There are good train links from surrounding places like Guildford, Ashtead, Gatwick, Epsom,Redhill, and Horsham.

My fees are:
£ 20 Initial consultation (55 mins)
£ 40 Individual sessions (55 mins)
£ 50 Couple sessions (60 mins)
£ 45 Supervision (60 mins)

I offer concessions depending on personal circumstances.

My training, work experience and any achievement

I am working as an employed and self employed counsellor in secondary schools, 6th form colleges and at a local hospice and having a private practice offering counselling and supervision.

I have also facilitated Anger Management groups.

In order to keep up to date with new developments in counselling as well as legal apsects of counselling I attend regular workshops, seminars and courses.
