I am a psychotherapeutic counsellor working in the Chertsey area both in the private and voluntary sectors.
I understand that when people are considering counselling they want to know what might be involved and the support they might need to help them with their difficulties or better manage their life.
Our first session gives us the opportunity to explore and what might be troubling you and how we may wish to work together and whether counselling is the best approach to support you. This introductory session may feel daunting but it can be the first step towards seeking help.
Clients come to me because they want to talk in a warm, confidential and empathetic setting to express their concerns, resolve ingrained patterns of behaviour and learn how to make alternative choices.
My training, work experience and any achievement
I have experience in helping people explore and come to terms with many issues: low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, loss, self-harming behaviour, stress and making life choices.
In helping clients to gain insight around their issues and to make changes, I have worked with people of different sexual orientation, of all age groups and from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
I use my own life experience and training to support individuals with understanding their patterns of behaviour and discover what they might be seeking.
I hold a BA Hons Integrative Relational Counselling from Kingston University.
This degree is accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and validated by the Middlesex University. I am a BACP Counsellor (MBACP ) and I adhere to the BACP’s Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
