I was trained at a well-known working clinic in Bristol and my qualifications (DHP and HPD) are accredited and are not only recognised by the professional bodies but also by the Open University and are highly regarded within the profession.
I am very committed to continuous professional development, and attend training provided not only by my original training school, but also by others recommended by or provided by the professional bodies in the hypnotherapy field.
As required by the professional bodies, I attend regular Supervision which not only safeguards my clients and ensures that, whilst maintaining client confidentiality, I operate ethically and professionally, but that I am informed of new developments as they occur in a dynamic field.
My training, work experience and any achievement
Having witnessed how effective counselling can be in helping people overcome difficulties and problems in their lives,I trained for a number of years in Counselling which culminated in my attaining an accredited Integrated Therapeutic Counselling Diploma.
I was a volunteer counsellor for a well known charity dealing with bereavement ,and also for an official organisation helping people deal with alcohol related problems. I believe that this, together with the specialised counselling courses I successfully attended has given me valuable insights.
I continued to train to develop my expertise and provide the best service I possibly can to my clients.
Hypnotherapy provided another way to help people make those changes which they desire to improve their lives. I attained a therapist’s Diploma in Hypnotherapy based on The Solution Focused Brief Therapy model which is a very positive and forward looking discipline. My qualifications are accredited by the National Council for Hypnotherapy, of which I am a licentiate member, and are also recognised by the Association of Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy. (My qualifications are also internationally recognised.)
I will continue professional development not only as a professional requirement, but because I am determined to continue developing my skills and understanding in order to offer my clients the best service I can possibly provide.
Having been a teacher for over 17 years, and having worked with children supporting peer support groups, I feel I am well placed to offer help to younger people as well as adults should they request my therapeutic help.

Customer Reviews
Excellent support through a difficult time with strategies which I will continue to use. Would definitely recommend and would go back if I ever need to in the future.
