About Cambridge Counselling Centre
Jackie is a specialist therapist, working with the ’couple relationship’ and addictive behaviours. Jackie Schickler set up Cambridge Counselling Centre in 2009, having previously worked as Senior Counsellor at a bespoke treatment centre in London for the past 10 years.She brings her vast experience of working with Relationships, Addictions, Co-dependency and healthy boundaries into her work. Jackie is a warm, dynamic and interactive counsellor who offers clients a safe space in which they can heal and grow.
She is a full member of the BSCPC (the British Society of Couple Psychotherapists and Counsellors) and the BACP.
She works with a range of clients, both individuals and couples. Some of the issues she can help you with:-
Relationships - with partners or family members. Understand the unconscious factors affecting your selection of each other. Identify any emotional dynamics that are being replayed from childhood. Learn how to relate to each other, and others in a more nurturing and loving way.
Addictions - whether to substances, alcohol, food or sex. In a climate of understanding and safety, we are able to address underlying issues that support addictions, as well as challenge beliefs that may cause a return to self-destructive behaviours.
