As an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, the United Kingdom Register of Counsellors, and the Institue of Welfare I adhere strictly to their codes of practice and ethics.
I am a trustee and trainer for Dorset Action on Abuse, and offer training throughout the UK on specialist subjects such as working with victims of childhood abuse, and how to deal with pornography addiction.
My training, work experience and any achievement
Doctorate in Psychotherapy by Professional Studies at Middlesex University/Metanoia Institute, London, focussing on producing training programmes for lay clergy to deal appropriately with members of congregations who have suffered childhood sexual abuse.
Master’s Degree in Counselling, Reading University, focussed on implications for psychodynamic counsellors working with male clients who fathers were absent.
Other qualifications : Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy, Salisbury College; Diploma in Life Coaching; Certificate in Advanced Hypnotherapy and Hypno-healing, London; Foundation Course in Systemic Family Therapy, Dorset NHS Trust. Diploma in Welfare Studies.
