About Jacqueline Hendy Counselling & Supervision
I have worked as a counsellor & psychotherapist in private practice for over 20 years and my experience has taught me that people seek counselling for a variety of reasons but usually with the hope that they can change something about the way they feel and how this impacts on their lives and relationships on a day to day basis.
Whatever your reason for looking into the possibility of counselling and searching for a counsellor, I imagine your decision has not been an easy one and you may have a lot of questions and uncertainties about what to do next.
I am a BACP Senior Accredited Counsellor & Psychotherapist and Supervisor with over 20 years experience of working alongside people who are wishing to address issues that are impacting on their lives in some way. I believe that our emotional and psychological health has a significant impact on the quality of our lives, our relationships, our physical health and our potential for living the fulfilled and satisfied lives that we desire. It is for this reason that I trained for and work in a profession which offers hope and the possibility of change.
I am an experienced therapist offering individual short and long term therapy. Making changes in one’s life can be a daunting prospect but counselling provides an opportunity to have a committed and skilled person alongside you in that process of change. I will work with you to identify and understand the concerns you have, support you in overcoming difficulties and to move towards the changes you desire.
Having been a practitioner for many years, I have experience of working with a broad range of issues, how we work together will depend on your needs and we can discuss this when we meet. Whatever your reason for seeking counselling, my view is that no issue is too great, too trivial or too small.
If what you have read has interested you and you wish to pursue this further, please do make contact. I look forward to hearing from you and we can discuss a mutually convenient time to meet for an initial 50 minute consultation. This consultation is offered at a reduced fee of £20 and will provide us with an opportunity to meet to discuss your needs and support you in considering whether I may be the right therapist for you.
