About Kim Maidment - Natural Therapies
I specialize in, Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture, 5 Element Acupuncture, Auricular Acupuncture, TCM Acupuncture, Trigger Point Acupuncture, Scalp Acupuncture, Dental Acupuncture, Bio-Magnetic Therapy, Tuina, Cupping, Moxibustion. Traditional Chinese Acupuncture.
I treat many problems from Infertility to Cosmetic Acupuncture, Bad backs, Sciatica, Depression, Anxiety many things. Acupuncture is a Holistic Medical system so I can treat most things.
As a Full Member of the Complementary Medical Association ( http://www.the-cma.org.uk ) I am governed by their Code Of Safe Practice and Code Of Professional Conduct. I also have to complete Continuous Professional Development each year to keep my training up to date. I used to be a member of the British Acupuncture Council but did not agree about their policy of self-regulation. I believe that Acupuncture should regulated by statute for the protection of our patients. I get inspected by the Environmental Health Department, so am registered by them as well.
My training, work experience and any achievement
I qualified at The College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in 1995 My Tutors were Peter Mole, Angela Hicks and John Hicks. I have a Licentiate and a Bachelors Degree (with Honours) in Acupuncture. Later I went to Philadelphia to study Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture with Dr. Martha Lucas and since that time I have attended many courses on various subjects as part of my CPD (Continuous Professional Development) I am a Full Member of the Complementary Medical Association.I used to work at a GP Clinic in Paignton and see myself as a Complementary Therapist. Western medicine does have its place but it is not the only system of medicine.
I have written a dissertation on Dental Acupuncture and am a foremost authority on the subject.. Over the years I have treated a number of women for infertility and so far 6 have become pregnant. I do enjoy a challenge so if you think you have something unusual please come to me!

My hours are not set in stone, I tend to book people in on Monday and Thursday including evenings then as I get busier I fill other days up. Please ’phone me and I will book you in. Thank you.Age I Work With
