About Ancient Roots Acupuncture & Chinese Massage
Melanie’s commitment to acupuncture as a means of protecting and restoring health and well-being is based on her personal experience and belief in Chinese Medicine and its approach to healing. By using both Acupuncture and Chinese Massage, she works on all aspects of the patient, to bring the body back into alignment and good health.Melanie has long been a follower and advocate of holistic therapies. Having used acupuncture to assist with fertility, she began studying Traditional Chinese Medicine after the birth of her second child and obtained a Certificate in Chinese Medicine through the London College of Traditional Acupuncture and a BSc in Acupuncture with the University of East London. During that time, she also completed a Diploma in Tui Na Massage and studied in Nanjing China, completing a Clinical Practice Course in Acupuncture. She has also studied with the world-renowned Virginia Doran, obtaining a qualification in Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture and Facial Massage.
Melanie’s main focus is sub-fertility issues relating to both male and female fertility. Having used acupuncture herself for fertility, she is very familiar with the high levels of emotion and anxiety that go along with it. She can offer supportive acupuncture to patients who are undergoing IVF and other assisted conception programmes.
My training, work experience and any achievement
I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council, Acupuncture Fertility Network and the UK Register of Tui Na Chinese Massage.I have a high volume of clients who visit me for anxiety, insomnia, menopause and Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture, Facial Cupping and Facial Massage.
Having always worked in a multi-disciplinary environment, I feel it is important to share the knowledge of our individual specialties in order to provide a well-rounded treatment to our clients.
