About Dan Thompson
Dan qualifed as a Shiatsu Practitioner at the end of 2006 with the British School of Shiatsu-Do and qualified with distinctions in TCM acupuncture along with Auricular, Wrist and Ankle at the International Bodyharmonics School, under the tutelage of renouned western expert and governmental advisor on acupuncture, Maria Mercati. Dan is a member of ACuC (AcuTherapy Council) register of practitioners, Microsystems Acupuncture and Shiatsu Society. As a registered member your acupuncturist adheres to a strict code of safe practice which demands stringent standards of hygiene.
Dan Practises at a private clinic and at Shambhala Studios in Leigh on Sea, Essex. He has been interested in TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) for several years. His passion for Chinese Medicine and body mechanics originates from his studies in the martial arts. Dan would love to make the community more aware of the effectiveness of applied Chinese medicine through bodywork and Acupuncture. Dan has treated many different conditions such as Infertility, Menapausal Symptoms, MS, Depression, Neck and Back pain, Structural complaints, Migraines, ME and has worked with the Proteus Syndrome Foundation UK, to assist in treating problems caused by Proteus Syndrome. Dan often works with sports injuries and is the acupuncturist for the SCORE football academy in Benfleet, Essex. Dan is available for Workshops, Seminars and Treatments.

Dan is very sympathetic to "needle fear" with acupuncture and gently encourages and inspires confidence.
