About Eddi Theedam acupuncture
Hello, my name is Eddi Theedam and I offer Acupuncture for all. I provide professional" whole person" care covering a wide spectrum of symptom based health issues for men and women.
If you have difficulty getting to appointments I could visit you at home.
I am also a qualified and experienced midwife and have a particular interest in treating pregnant women for a number of so called minor ailments of pregnancy. These include nausea and vomiting, back and pelvic pain.
I can offer a set of weekly treatments at 37 weeks to help your body to labour as efficiently as possible and when facing the possibility of being induced I can use acupuncture points to give your body a nudge in the right direction.
All points used in pregnancy are safe when used by a fully qualified practitioner and you will have the added reassurance that before and after each treatment I will listen to your baby’s heart beat and be in an excellent position to offer advise about Labour. I will show you how to use specific accupressure points to help you and your partner have a strategy for coping with labour and assist you to have the most positive experience possible.
My training, work experience and any achievement
I trained at the College of Tradtional Acupuncture and gained a BA (Hons) degree and licence to practice Acupuncture in February 2010. I am also a working midwife.
I have treated musculo-skeletal problems, stress and anxiety issues, fertility issues and women with "minor" complaints of pregnancy. A back ground in Midwifery puts me in a good place to offer advise and treatment to prepare for birth to increase your chances of having a straight forward labour and delivery. If you wish to avoid induction of labour Acupuncture can help you acheive this.
I trained in Five Element Traditional acupuncture which starts from seeing you as a unique individual with unique needs. From there your treatments will be tailored to your energetic requirements.
I am now in a position to offer mobile acupuncture. If you feel that you do not wish to visit me in falmouth I can, in certain circumstances treat you at home. I would need a quiet space with natural light, preferably and room to move around a treatment couch as a pre-requisite. Further Information
I offer a home visit service in circumstanceswhere the home environment is suitable and client would prefer this. Radius over 5 miles may incur a further travel/fuel charge on top.
