- Use the Advantage of Nature and Therapy - How the great outdoors can shape what is inside your head -

By Michaela Busch republished on January 30, 2018

I have the great chance to practice near the beautiful sea of the South East Coast of Kent and I found out that my patients could contribute from using the wonderful nature and the calm and relaxing atmospheres of the nature and its wildlife.

Treating many patients with depression, anxiety and panic attacks over the years I worked in a great environment of the beautiful mountains in Switzerland near Gstaad/ Berner Oberland and now in front of the beautiful sea of the South East Coast of Kent in Hythe. I try to integrate the nature as one of the main parts in treating patients as often as I can. Nature makes patients feel safe, calm and relaxed and they are so open and positive to have their sessions before or after they spent a minimum of 20 minutes outside enjoying themselves.

Patients seem more capable to face problems, pay more attention and seem to be more refreshed and improved their wellbeing a lot better than others.

There are many ways to nurture your mental wellbeing. Physical exercise is known to encourage the release of feel good hormones (endorphines) and that a walk or being in the nature make a huge different to patients suffering from depression, anxiety or panic attacks.

Combined with a professional therapy like psychotherapy or hypnotherapy it can be as effective as antidepressants in treating mild to moderate depression and different forms of anxiety.

Getting closer to the nature is also a great way to reduce stress and boost positivity. Patients who like to use the Natural-Therapy daily can have a considerable beneficial effect.

Many patients say that they got more self-esteems, could enjoy their social lives better, felt stronger and were motivated more regarding conversations and relationships.

My experience treat in patients as a Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist integrating Natural Therapy is so positive that I like to underline nearly every treatment with Natural Therapy. I can see that my patients gained skills and gave this to others and I saw that their self-esteem grew and their feelings of self-worth increases much quicker then normally.

Patient who spent more time in the nature are more aware of their feelings, their emotions and they get a better eye for the most important things in life. They pay attention more to the present moment they are in and that makes the therapy session more interesting for me and the patient.

They are more aware of what is happening right now and nature + therapy can help them to enjoy the world more and to feel better- great is they can do this everywhere!

This is the reason I will offer Nature Psychotherapy or Hypnotherapy in front of the beautiful South East Coast of Kent in Hythe to use the nature as a huge support for different treatments.

It needs professional therapy and nature to develop the process of a successful Short Term Therapy.
