Morning Habits for Faster Weight Loss

Morning marks the start of a new day and could also mark a new start, especially if you are trying to establish healthy habits. Like most people, you probably also aim to have a leaner and fitter body or maintain it if you already have such. And when it comes to weight management, your morning habits have really such a great impact. Check out these morning habits that you should adopt for faster weight loss:

Wake up early.

Going to bed early and waking up early is a common habit that healthy people share. Waking up early gives you more time to look after your health – eat home-cooked breakfast, exercise, reflect, and so on. What’s more, people who wake up and eat breakfast early tend to have better metabolism than those who don’t. So, if you want to start your day right, aim for an earlier waking time.

Get some sunlight.

Sunshine’s the best source of vitamin D, which supports plenty of major organ functions. At the same time, it lifts your spirits, making you feel energised and motivated to start your day right. So what does it have to do with weight loss? Simple. When you are feeling energised, you are more likely to exercise and make healthy choices. You will also feel motivated to stick to your health goals.

Get a cold shower.

Many people love hot shower in the morning to wake up their senses. But taking cold shower is equally beneficial too! Studies show that it may boost your energy levels, your metabolism, and regulate your hormones. Another thing, when you’re having cold shower, your body burns more calories to keep warm, thus elevating your metabolism. It is recommended, however, that you start the first couple of minutes of your shower at just about the temperature that suits you and slowly make it colder. Then stay in that cold water for three to four minutes for the maximum benefit.

Have a filling breakfast.

If you want to keep hunger at bay for the rest of the day, you want to make sure that you have a filling and healthy breakfast. Opt for whole foods that are high in fibre, such as fruits, vegetables, grains or oats. They keep your bowels healthy and help you feel fuller longer.

Give these morning habits a try for a couple of weeks and try your best to stick to them. These habits are sure to promote a healthy lifestyle and keep you off from gaining weight.
